In the last day and a half I had two semi-successful movie experiences. And since they weren't fully successful, I will be brief about them.
I've been long planning to watch El Mariachi, and since I've recently saw Desperado, I figured that the time has come. I downloaded and sat down to watch. Thankfully, I didn't sit down to watch it alone - my friend Senor Montez decided to join me for it and his translating help was irreplacable, as the film proved to be in spanish. The film itself was good, for a zero-budget independent movie. It had some very interesting moments and cinematographic ideas. With all the downsides that it had, I still enjoyed it. But I won't recommend it to anyone, unless you know what you are getting yourself into.
And very recently i sat down to watch "Fireworks" - a film by Takeshi Kitano that I've been wanting to see for a very long time. This film's slogan was "The masterpiece of voilence". Now, imagine my dissappointment, when it turned out that I had the wrong "Fireworks" and this film was a sad romance tale about twelve-year olds who really want to know whether fireworks are flat or round, when you look at them from the side. Sure, it was a good film. But not what I wanted to watch. And somehow, it was only fifty minutes long!
And now my computer is acting up again...
