One more movie out of the way. "True Romance" came up in my list as the sister-movie to "Natural Born Killers", which I really liked. As I watched more and more, I realized that these two movies have very little in common - except for the idea of an ideal love amongst blood and death. Well, that and having Tarantino as a screen writer (unexpectedly, in both cases). This was a good film, not too violent, very artistic, and with great actors. Although I still can't figure out whom did Val Kilmer play in there. And the movie does get the point across - to love means to kill for those you care about.
And since the people in my dorm were watching Troy today - here is a comparison: Brad Pitt plays a smoked away dopehead in True Romance, and his ten minute role is a thousand times better and more interesting than the entire Troy movie. There!
