The english version
Here is an open english language version of what had happened to me during the last few days.
- Wed. night - work at Wermlands, home at 6 AM.
- Woke up at 16.30 on Thursday
- Wanted to make a Russian party, but instead had participated in a volleyball tourney
- Saw a friend who did some progress in his cancer-detection research
- Had a Russian party nonetheless
- One bottle of porto, one bottle of german wine, some cheeze, jerkey, dried bread and 6 cigarettes
- In a ratio that I won't unveil. Anton might have drunk and smoke all of the abovementioned. I only ate.
- All good now.
- In general - everything is great. Some russian cooking night with the Latvians tomorrow. If they let me come, that is. :)
- I am out now...
- BIG Russian party on Sunday

Something wrong with drinking sigarettes? You take the filter out, pour some boiling water over them and let it infuse for 2-3 mintes. Pretty good, I'd say.

I have to ask Deema -

Is studying abroad just an excuse to get cheaper liquor? ;-)

I wish it was. Booze it about twice as expensive here. Sweden has really bad alcohol tax laws. A bottle of vodka costs about $45!!! Though when I work, it is all free. The quality may suffer, but the price is unbeatable! :)

So no, but it is a nice side-effect.

that is why sweden has "few" alcoholics. no one can afford it. :D

Doesn't stop the coke addicts here.

Btw, how do you look up real exchange rate information about different countries to anticipate this kind of stuff?

you ask your local emma. :)

dma was silly and "allergic to alcohol" when he first started talking about going on exchange, so he missed out on valuable information. oh well!

In that case I'll ask: what is the real exchange rate now between the US and Spain? What kind of stuff is more/less expensive there?

That means that the nominal exchange rate is set, but I don't know about how much more expensive their goods are once that has been accounted for.

I keep reciepts from my credit card transaction. Then i check my bank statemet to see how many dollars I was charged. Then I calculate the rate with some simple arithmetics.
